ἀπ-όμνυμι (s. ὄμνυμι), p. auch ἀπομνύω, abschwören, einen Eid ableisten, meist im negativen Sinne, schwören, daß etwas nicht stattfinde u. dgl., Gegensatz ἐπόμνυμι; Hom. Od. 10, 345 ἀπώμνυεν; 12, 303 ἀπώμνυον; 18, 58 ἀπώμνυον v. l. ἐπώμνυον (Scholl.); 15, 437 ἀπώμνυον v. l. ἐπώμνυον (Scholl.); 2, 377 ὅρκον ἀπώμνυ; 10, 381 ὅρκον ἀπώμοσα; Iliad. 10, 332 ἐπίορκον ἀπώμοσε, Aristarch ἐπώμοσε, s. Scholl. Didym.; – μὴ ὄρσαι γλῶσσαν Pind. N. 7, 70; Her. verbdt χρῆν ὀμόσαιμὴ μὲν ἑκόντα ἐλϑεῖν, ἀπομόσαντα δέ, 2, 179; νῦν δ' ἀπομώμοκα, jetzt habe ich's verschworen, Ar.
