σαίνω, aor. ἔσηνα, auch ἔσᾱνα, Apollod. com. bei Ath. I, 3 c (verwandt mit σείω), 1) wed eln mit dem Schwanz, eigtl. vom Hunde, ὅτ' ἂν ἀμφὶ ἄνακτα κύνες δαίτηϑεν ἰόντα σαίνωσι, Od. 10, 217. 16, 6; οὐρῇ μέν ῥ' ὅγ' ἔσηνε, 17, 302; von Wölfen u.
